The building, dating back to 1392, has undergone various renovations over time and is externally denoted by the angular bell tower and the sixteenth-century travertine portal.

Initially the vault of the Church had visible beams. Now instead it has a nave vault and has an orchestra. The Church was restored in 1869 by Count De' Gori and in 1895 by the Ferrari family.

The interior with a nave, has a plan characterized by an asymmetrical layout. The Church is made up of the main altar and two chapels, the Chapel of the Rosary, where the Baptismal Font is located and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows. Behind the altar there is a small choir.

Inside, in two niches, there are two wooden statues by Francesco Di Valdambrino representing the Annunciation, restored and brought to the original polychromy in 1949. Previously they were considered of very little artistic value; from studies following the restoration it emerged that they are from the Sienese school, from the first half of the 15th century and some art critics attribute them to Francesco Di Valdambrino, while others attribute them to a "similar of Valdambrino".

In the Church there is a sacred garment of damask fabric from the 16th century with very valuable and rich silver flowers.

The first Pievano or Rector of the Parish Church was Stefano Salvi who built the Chapel of the Rosary together with Cavalier Francesco Segardi-Bindi. The second Rector was Pietro Giovagnoli from Farnetella.
