Piazze has been part of the township of Cetona since 1808. It’s about 9 kilometers from Cetona. It’s situated at the foot of Mount Cetona . The etymology of “Piazze” derives from the place where the coalminers cooked their coal using wood that they took from the woods on the mountain.
It’s a newborn place, where there’s a concentration of the major economic activities, especially artisan ones.
During the month of August , in Piazze, a recital based on local farmers’traditions takes place outside.
