The church was born and cresciouta the centuries starting from an original tabernacle road, probably located along the route of the Via Lauretana which, branching off from the Francigena in Siena just outside Porta Romana, led to the "Holy House of the Virgin" in Loreto.
The façade is preceded by a loggia in clay: on a staircase in travertine setting the elegant serliana with stone columns.
All'internouna beautiful apse entirely covered with frescoes by Girolamo di Benvenuto.
On the wall at the top, we find the '' Annunciation 'and immediately above the "Eternal Father sends the Holy Spirit to Mary".
On both sides below are: the left "Santi Sebastiano Costanzo and" the right "Saints Flora and Rocco"
On the lunette of the apse there is a fresco depicting the main '' Assumption of the Virgin and St. Thomas the Apostle receiving the girdle "
Finally, the entire arc is located under the "Savior flanked Patriarchs and Prophets of the Old Testament" and piers: left the "Saints Peter and Paul", on the right the "Sante Flora and Lucilla."
