The Guard House of the Fortress was built after the year 1500, in front of the ancient door of the castle, that remained integrated in the interior part on the right hand side. From here, through an access ramp, one could go up to the drill ground and to the main tower . In ancient times the castle was defended by at least three towers, but war events and time have contributed to reduce the number so much , that nowadays , only one tower remains, made of stone , but altered in a considerable way with the addition of a covering. It’s the ancient main tower, crowned by a leaning structure with corbels and by draining arches in stone.
